QCPYT was founded by Katie Estridge, PT, MPT, PYT. A native of NC, Katie received her Bachelors of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science and Masters of Physical Therapy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her professional yoga therapy degree at the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute. Her interest in integrative medicine led her to combine yoga and physical therapy.
Katie uses her physical therapy knowledge to help people recover from injury and maximize their potential fitness level. Katie enjoys working with people of all ages and stages in life. Her personal yoga practice began in 2001, helping her to recover from illness.
Through 2015, Katie worked at Carolinas Medical Center as a physical therapist. She is the former lead physical therapist. In the past Katie has worked at University of Maryland Medical Center and Croasdaile Retirement Community. Katie's passion lies in the beautiful combination of yoga and physical therapy.
In her spare time, Katie loves spending time her husband and two children. She also enjoys doing yoga, spending time at the beach, volunteering at church and walking her dogs.
