"For anyone looking for an outstanding physical therapist I recommend Katie Estridge . Katie is well trained and well educated. She is very good in determining what the clients physical needs are and how to address them. I have worked with Katie for a year and have developed great flexibility and strength. She gently pushes me to achieve more which keeps me going. You should try her!!!" -HM

"It was a lucky day for me when I met Katie.  She has helped me work on my physical fitness which I am in great need of.  She is calm when directing me in exercises and I don't realize that she has pushed me in her quiet to do something I didn't think I could do. She just keeps smiling and saying that's good!!  For a 77 old lady that is a good feeling!" -JM

“I first contacted Katie last year when I discovered I was experiencing high blood pressure and wanted to avoid going on BP medication. After our initial consultation, she steered me into beginning my day differently: with a morning meditation/stretching/prayer time on my yoga mat vs. frenetically starting the to-do list. By the time I got to my yearly physical a month later, my BP was normal and I have continued to incorporate the early morning “mat time" into my daily routine. I was also turning 60 at the end of the same year and wanted to work on putting some other new healthy practices in place. Katie and I met quasi-monthly to come up with a plan to guide me into the next decade in optimal shape - physically, mentally, spiritually, nutritionally, etc.  She listened without judgement and designed a realistic, holistic, customized program that she adds to/I return to on a regular basis. The hour with Katie acts as my own personal continuing education session about the aging process and the mind/body connection.  I highly recommend Queen City Professional Yoga Therapy if you are ready to make some permanent changes in your life to be the best you can be!” -CK

"Katie is an excellent PT and yoga therapist. She understands the body and her clients' individual needs. She has helped tremendously with my recovery from surgery, my overall flexibility and mental wellness." -GD

My wife began training with Katie about three months ago and I started with her last month. We are both over 65 and need help with balance and retaining core strength. After evaluation, Katie developed a series of exercises for each of us. She leads us in these exercises on a weekly basis and coaches us on our techniques and style to assure that we are getting the most from the workouts. She also modifies the  exercises and adds new ones as appropriate. She has done a great job of gently encouraging us to maintain a regular exercise discipline." -WS

"After a year of yoga with Katie, I now have a better understanding (and thus execution of) all yoga poses, enjoy a much improved range of motion for sports, and just feel healthier and stronger overall." -RM

"After my initial consultation I  was convinced that Katie Estridge was going to take me on a journey that would address my ailments on a complete mind and body level.  Once a sceptic, I am a firm believer that it is all connected. She has created a simple plan that keeps me pain free.  I recently brought my pre-teen son for a consultation with Katie and now he is on his own plan that helps him play sports while minimizing his chances for injury." -AB

"Katie’s instruction both through personal sessions and class settings has improved my core strength in a way that practicing yoga for 5+ years prior had not. All yoga teachers tell you to engage your core, but Katie actually teaches you how to do it. Her emphasis on breathing, safety and stability first, and mindfulness have improved my yoga practice and my overall wellbeing." -LS

"Katie is a phenomenal teacher with a clear passion for yoga and physical therapy! I have learned so much about the importance of proper breathing techniques and healthy yoga shapes from Katie; she has completely changed my yoga practice and overall approach to health for the better!” -AJ

‘For years, I suffered from stiffness and pain related to scoliosis and an underlying autoimmune system deficiency. Attending a yoga class seemed like a luxury that I did not have time for. My pain was dictating my focus, pushing me to spend time in deep stretch classes and getting massages, or just abstaining from activity at all in order. Attending Katie’s classes has proven the fundamental difference between a yoga instructor and a licensed Physical Therapist –  relief – and I would argue that her class is much more than a yoga class. Katie is among the most highly educated in her field and it shows through her hands-on assessments. Through manual therapy, she assesses my problem areas, identifies modifications or specific exercises to help me to strengthen those areas, and supports me with the gentle, kind attitude that I need in order to achieve success.” -VS
